Right Timing

Following up the Awakening the Deep Feminine blog post from June 7, 2011, Olga had her surgery on July 14th and was excited to report in this week about her healing process. Below is a synopsis of what she shared with me and wants to share with all of you.

This process is such an example of ‘right timing’. I am only three weeks after the surgery and I have not had any pain or discomfort at all. My surgeon says she has rarely seen such a fast recovery. I had no anesthesia hangover. I only took the pain medication for the first two nights and that was to insure that I slept well. I really didn’t need them for pain at all.

I feel lighter through out my entire being, but particularly in my pelvis and legs. I have a deep sense of something big shifting within me. I used to play classical guitar but stopped when I got pregnant over two decades ago. I recently felt the desire to go buy a new guitar, so I did. I am being called to come back to my music in a new way.

I waited so long to do this surgery (years) and wondered in certain moments if I had waited longer than I should have to take this step. However, from where I sit right now, it is clear that the timing of this was perfect.

It turns out that the surgery was scheduled on a full moon. My surgery was at 7:30am, the first surgery on my doctor’s schedule, as she returned from vacation. She was relaxed and renewed. You and I did such wonderful hands-on preparation for what was coming that my body did not register this surgery as an invasion. It welcomed the release from this calcified fibroid and the attached uterus.

The fibroid was exactly as you and I ‘saw’ it in our sessions. The surgeon said it was like cutting through concrete – just as we thought! She carefully removed it all – taking her time, doing it in a way that was minimally invasive rather than doing it more quickly and invasively.

Remember the dialogue we had with my ovaries in my last session? How they clearly communicated the desire to remain in my body and be an active part of my feminine unfolding? The doctor told me that they both looked wonderful and healthy. So much for the opinion that “ovaries are useless organs after menopause and you might as well pull them out with the uterus!”

As we worked together in her post-surgery session, her tissues concurred with everything she was verbally saying. Her pelvic area did not have the sense of shock that often registers initially in someone coming out of surgery. Her body welcomed my presence and the only place that needed help was a small area deep in the pelvis around the sacral plexus that felt a little bruised and tangled. As I gently held that area and cradled it with my presence, Olga reported feeling waves of relaxation that deepened into an openness that was exquisite. Her legs relaxed even more than they already had.

Her healing process can be a teacher for all of us. I want to point out the landmarks of “right timing”.

1) Olga listened exquisitely to her body for the timing of when to do this surgery. She did not rush it, and when the time felt right she took action immediately.

2) She did non-invasive hands-on work that included an important dialogue with her system about what she needed for her highest good  (before and after the surgery).

3) She followed through with everything her system told her. Everything. Period.

4) She found a surgeon that not only had excellent credentials, she was someone that Olga intuitively trusted. Her doctor was on the same page in terms of Olga’s inner wisdom. The surgeon did not push her own agenda on Olga. Instead, she partnered with her to do what Olga felt was right.

5) Olga took the time to rest fully after the surgery. She cleared her schedule. She did not push herself to jump back into her life too soon.

6) In taking all these steps, her recovery has been rapid and easy. Her inner creativity has blossomed out of this experience. Her energy level has returned quickly and she is feeling good about her current direction in life. Her deep feminine energy is truly coming forward now. It is delightful to witness.

When we got done she was feeling even lighter and more energized. And although her initial sessions were done in person, this post-surgical session was done over the phone!

So this says to me that healing can occur in many forms, and time and space have no limits in this arena.

Enjoy!
