Pua, as does the NCBTMB in general, has a colorful history of disrupting Federation events and meetings...originally presenting to them as coming in the spirit of co-operation. The NCBTMB itself is currently suing a State Board who elected to accept th MBLEx.
They have accepted multiple schools with no valid certifications, or for that matter, testing them against no standard and verifying nothing, as being acceptable to the NCBTMB as a source of students for certifictation. This results in an undue burden on State Boards who previously would accept anyone that the NCBTMB had certified, as being qualified for licensure, and can no longer do so...
I, too, am Nationally Certified and at this time intend to remain so...but, as a Therapist, Instructor, etc., I beg the NCBTMB to get its head out of its rectum and do the job that it was originally created to do...set a solid standard and maintain it...this does not include fighting with and/or against others who are maintaining and setting standards.
I used to be proud to be an NCBTMB certified therapist...I would like to be proud of it, again.
