I agree that when youa re offering massage in a festival having a good signage always helps! Most of the theraphists lose out business because of not letting others know why they are actually there!

Yea, Brenda! I have to tell you; I love local fairs. They are the place I usually meet most of my new customers. Everyone is so happy.

Do consider charging for your work, however. People should understand from the beginning that your work has value. If you want to do massage for donations to a favorite local charity that would be a fine alternative.

Do check out the related article if you have time (http://www.naturaltouchmarketing.com/blog/marketing-matters/2009/05/dipping-in-your-oar/). The last half that may give you some good ideas. I want you to have a successful first festival!

Let me know ...

Eileen's article was very helpful to me. I am a FMT who shall be ready to start charging my clients the end of July! Yeah! We have a town fair each July and I was just mentioning to my husband that I just might bring my massage chair to the event and do free chair massages and hand out my business cards. Any kind of advertising a new establishment will help. So, thank you for that great article. It just confirmed that I shall be doing the right thing!
