Hello world!
Hello,
I am George P. Kousaleos, LMT, the founder of the CORE Institute School of Massage Therapy and Structural Bodywork (1990) in Tallahassee, FL. Beginning in 1979 I began practicing structural integration (SI) in Florida, New York City, Munich, Germany and Santorini, Greece and since 1985 I have taught SI, myofascial therapy and sports bodywork courses throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe over the past 28 years. My interest has always been to find the common truths among the theories and practices of the many disciplines and modalities of touch therapies. I have also been fascinated with the cultural influences of touch on families, communities, and organizations. I hope that my blogs will influence the reader to “think globally” while they practice locally.

Dear George:
Hello back. I enjoyed your introduction. My yia yia and papou came from Greece in the early 1900s. My father, also George, became a physician. I studied chemistry and received my PhD in ‘97. In 2004, I became a massage therapist and now I teach at the Body Therapy Institute in the Anatomy classes. I am just beginning my path in this amazing body/mind world and look to my more seasoned colleagues for as much advice, education, presence… as I can get. I look forward to reading more of your work, as we have this special connection in our heritage. I am also excited to follow this amazing advancement of all types of bodywork and research. Quite an exciting time for an old scientist turned massage therapist. I have been interested in taking your Sports Massage classes at BTI. Now, I’ll have to look into it even harder.
Thanks for listening,
Rebecca
