Music has always been a part of my life. My childhood was shaped by piano lessons as a child; folk-singing sessions led by my brother and his friends; late nights as a teenager in central Wyoming listening to rock and roll radio stations out of Denver, Colorado. I enjoyed the explosion of sounds and musical styles that found expression in the 1960s and into the 1970s. I have lived next door to a blue grass band in Montana, a classical recorder consort in Boulder, CO, and now live close by the Longmont High School marching band.

Healing arts and bodywork have also long been a part of my life. As I appreciate the value of massage and bodywork as great natural and complementary therapies in medical settings, so do I appreciate music for its healing qualities.

This time of year I love sharing music with others, and enjoy opportunities to listen to good live music. So I’m going to share with you a song from a couple of my favorite musicians. Check out this link to a little video I edited from their latest holiday concert:
